Starting the Game

        Basic gameplay
        To clear a level, make your way toward the very end.
        Catch all the mice in the level.
        Scare all the humans.
        Avoid lights
        Lights
        Lights are a hazard. Making contact with them drains Vampire Cat’s energy.
        Lights can affect the path you take in various ways.
        Some lights are unavoidable. You must take a hit or become invincible to get past them.
        Other lights can be turned off via a switch at the right location.
        A few other lights flicker on and off. Move past them as fast as you can.
        Picking up Collossus the guinea pig will make Vampire Cat temporarily invincible.
        Mr. Burgemeister holds a flashlight. Get past him to avoid getting illuminated by him.
        Energy levels
        Vampire Cat has a limited amount of energy, which represents their hit points.
        Prolonged exposure to light sources will cause them grievous harm.
        Once you lose all your energy, it’s game over.
        You can recharge your energy by selecting power switches.
        You can only select switches once.
        Switches also turn off light sources, which opens up new paths.
        Distraction
        There are 3 enemies in this game you cannot scare:
        Sparky
        He chases after you.
        You lose energy when you make contact with him.
        He can be distracted by overturning garbage cans.
        Wererat
        He moves by jumping.
        Making contact with him will cause you to lose energy.
        Time your moves so that you get past him before he jumps.
        He can’t be distracted. You must sneak past him.
        Mr. Burgemeister
        He will flash a light at you if he spots you.
        Drop a rock on him will stop him from flashing you.
        The only way to get past Sparky and Mr. Burgemeister is by distraction with rocks:
        Select the rock icon and hold to pick up a rock.
        Drop the rocks in specific places to use them as distractions.
        Distract Sparky by dropping the rock on a garbage can.
        Distract Mr. Burgemeister by dropping the rock on his head.
        Scoring
        Your score is dependent on the following factors:
        How many mice you caught
        How many people you scared
        How fast you cleared the level
        Earn the highest scores you can to win a 3-star rating for the level.
